The 28th annual Centennial Conference women's cross country championship is slated for Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Center for Maryland Agriculture and Farm Park in Cockeysville, Md, hosted by Johns Hopkins. JHU will host the CC championships for the first time since 2015 and fourth time overall. The women's 6,000-meter race is set for 12 p.m., following the men's race at 11 a.m.

With an unprecendented 12 consecutive CC titles and six national titles since 2012, the question remains - can anyone challenge Hopkins for the CC crown? The Blue Jays have proven to be a dominant force at the conference, regional and national levels over the past decade, and enter this year's championship having been the top-ranked team in the nation for the entire season.

JHU has a pair of All-Centennial performers back from 2019 - Katharine Priu and Stephanie Brown - while a number of other runners have put together strong performanes this fall. Ashley Heidenrich has led the way for the Blue Jays, crossing first on the team in three of the four events in which she's competed this fall.

While Hopkins may steal the majority of the team headlines, Dickinson's Isabel Cardi highlights the list of individuals in the field. The defending CC Runner of the Year and third-place finisher at 2019 nationals, Cardi will aim to become the seventh repeat individual champion in CC history this Saturday. The Red Devil senior collected three of the six CC Runner of the Week awards thie fall after another stellar regular season that included four individual wins. Teammate Elaina Clancy also put together an impressive regular season, capturing one individual title and a CC Runner of the Week award of her own.

In addition to Cardi, Priu and Brown, other returning All-Centennial runners include Swarthmore's Emma Novak and Muhlenberg's Abby Dalton. Novak took 11th at the 2019 meet, while Dalton placed 13th.

Other top performers from each squad to keep on an eye on this Saturday are Bryn Mawr's Izzy Ravaglia, F&M's Lexi Salerno, Gettysburg's Kate O'Brien, Haverford's Izzy Miller, McDaniel's Bailey Mullen, and Ursinus' Rachel Conhoff.

Three CC squads enter this weekend ranked in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings - Hopkins (1), Dickinson (10), and Haverford (28). Seven teams are regionally ranked, with the Centennial now split into two regions with regional realignment taking effect this year. In the Metro region, Haverford (1), Swarthmore (2), Ursinus (6), and Muhlenberg (8) are ranked, while JHU (1), Dickinson (2), and F&M (7) are ranked in the Mid-Atlantic poll.
