Women’s Lacrosse Claims CC Opener

Highlighted by 13 different goal scorers, the Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team won its Centennial Conference opener over Bryn Mawr, 20-4.

Senior Amanda Tullo led the way with seven total points on three goals and four assists. She has tallied seven points – which is one short of her career high – in three games this season. Her four assists are a season high and one shy of her career high, while she has scored at least three goals in six of seven games this season.

Freshmen Madeline Dill and Ariella Lerner led a group of five Mules to score twice. It was the first multi-goal outing of Dill's career, while Lerner's markers were her first two at the collegiate level. Lerner wasn't the only player to find the back of the net for the first time in her career for Muhlenberg with freshman Hannah Wolfe and sophomore Erin Rogers also scoring for the first time. Freshman Nikki Bonvini notched her first-career point with an assist on Lerner's second goal as time expired in the second half.

Senior Melissa Rudberg (pictured above) was one of two Mules with a team-best two caused turnovers. The other was junior Gabriella Crivelli, who added a pair of goals, a ground ball and three draw controls.

Senior Caroline Dolan controlled season-best six draws and picked up three ground balls to tie for the team lead with classmate Emma Carmody. Senior Morgan Weiss and sophomore Lauren Sammarro collected two ground balls each.

Muhlenberg (5-2, 1-0 CC) outshot the Owls (2-2, 0-1 CC) 37-9. The teams traded the first two goals before the Mules took over with the next 13 goals.
