Schwarze had an outstanding week at the plate in his first full season as a position player. He hit .438 with an .813 slugging percentage, tallying 8 RBI and four extra base hits. In a wild doubleheader sweep against McDaniel, Schwarze went a combined 6-10 with three doubles and a home run in 10 at bats as the Fords played just 14 innings of baseball due to the second game being called in five due to darkness.
