Baseball Player of the Week

DeGiacomo went 8-for-12 (.667) at the plate with three home runs, seven RBIs and eight runs scored in a 3-0 week for the Blue Jays. Against Catholic, he went 4-for-6 with a home run, two RBIs and scored three times. He followed that up by going 4-for-6 in a doubleheader sweep against Muhlenberg with two home runs and five RBIs. The graduate student also worked two walks and posted a .714 on-base percentage and 1.583 slugging percentage for the week. He is currently tied for the conference lead in home runs with five.

Bass was dominant in a game one win over Gettysburg on Saturday, tossing seven shutout innings while surrendering just three hits and striking out 12 with no walks. At one point, Bass set down 10 straight Gettysburg batters. Bass has now lowered his ERA to just 0.89, tops in the Centennial Conference, and has struck out 33 in his 20.1 innings spread across four appearances this season.
