Dapp Named Chair of NCAA Football Rules Committee

Dapp Named Chair of NCAA Football Rules Committee

Moravian College head football coach Scot Dapp has been named the chair of the NCAA Football Rules Committee for the remainder of his term on the committee until September 2012.  Dapp is the first NCAA football coach from any of the three divisions to also serve as the chair of the NCAA Football Rules Committee and be President of the American Football Coaches Association.

Dapp served as interim chair for the Football Rules Committee's annual meeting in Indianapolis February 7-10 after Randy Edsall moved from The University of Connecticut to the University of Maryland and was unable to serve as the chair for the upcoming year.  The committee voted Dapp its full-time chair at the end of last week's meeting.
