Franklin & Marshall 34, Moravian 2
Frank Strumolo rushed for 82 yards on 16 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 34-2 homecoming-victory over Moravian in Centennial Conference (CC) football action Saturday afternoon. F&M improved to 6-1, 5-1 CC while the Greyhounds fell to 2-5, 2-4 CC. F&M totaled 521 yards on offense while the defense limited the Greyhounds to just 161 yards. E.J. Schneider completed 22-of-29 passes with 294 yards with a touchdown and added 59 yards on the ground. Paul McGann led all receivers with 107 yards on seven catches while Tim Muller finished with 88 yards on nine receptions.

Muhlenberg 35, Juniata 14
The second of back-to-back Centennial Conference home games for the Muhlenberg football team ended the same way as the first: with 35 points on the scoreboard and an entry in the win column. The Mules scored 21 points in the third quarter and went on to defeat Juniata, 35-14, a week after a 35-31 win against Gettysburg. It was the first time ever that Muhlenberg played CC home games in consecutive weeks, and the first time since 2008 that the Mules scored at least 35 points in consecutive games. Senior quarterback Dan Deighan rushed for 105 yards on only 11 carries and also threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Terrence Dandridge scored a pair of touchdowns on the ground, and junior Kevin Van Laar rushed for a career-high 71 yards and a score.

Dickinson 38, McDaniel 31 (OT)
The Dickinson football team rallied from a 10-point, fourth quarter deficit to force overtime and overtake McDaniel College, 38-31, on Saturday. Dickinson scored 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to force overtime. Senior Bligh Cassidy (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor) capped a 68-yard drive with a two-yard run to pull the Devils within a field-goal at the 7:51 mark. Sophomore Adam Kaminski (Exton, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) ricocheted a 33-yard field-goal off the left upright and through to tie the game with just eight seconds remaining in regulation. The Devils used just three plays to score in overtime as Ahnell connected with senior wide receiver Matt Wood (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) for a 12-yard touchdown to put Dickinson in front, 38-31. The defense would hold on McDaniel's possession to secure the win as the Devils improve to 3-4 overall and 3-3 in the Centennial Conference. McDaniel's Joe Rollins finished with 216 yards rushing on the day, scoring three touchdowns.

Friday, October 19

Johns Hopkins 49, Gettysburg 35
Oh the irony. After two weather delays totaling nearly 90 minutes, 11 combined rushing touchdowns, nearly 600 rushing yards and more than 900 yards of total offense, Friday night's showdown between 10th-ranked Johns Hopkins (7-0, 6-0 Centennial) and visiting Gettysburg was ultimately sealed - by a defensive touchdown. Senior linebacker Taylor Maciow returned a Kody Smith fumble 42 yards for a touchdown with 4:51 remaining in the fourth quarter to cap a 21-point run that turned a 35-28 deficit into a 49-35 victory for the host Blue Jays. Maciow's touchdown capped a wild affair the saw exactly one lead of more than seven points; the one Maciow provided with his game-ending score. Jonathan Rigaud led a 372-yard rushing effort for the Blue Jays as he rushed 21 times for a career-high 210 yards and the one touchdown, while J.D. Abbott added 107 yards and the two scores. They are the first Blue Jay tandem in nine years to top the 100-yard rushing mark. Rigaud's 210 yards are also the 10th-highest single-game total in school history. Robbie Matey was 22-of-33 for 127 yards and also rushed 16 times for 59 yards and the three scores. Kody Smith was spectacular in defeat for the Bullets as he rushed 17 times for 83 yards and two touchdowns and was 20-of-36 for 197 yards on the night. Ted Delia rushed 24 times for 100 yards and the two scores.

Ursinus 36, Susquehanna 0
It was a record breaking night at Patterson Field on Friday night for the Ursinus College football team. Ursinus (5-2, 4-2 Centennial) recorded a 36-0 shutout of Susquehanna (3-4, 2-4 Centennial) in Centennial Conference play, keeping their chances of a share of the conference title alive. Two records were broken or tied in the game as senior cornerback Chris Rountree (Lawnside, N.J./Haddon Heights) tied the school career interception record with his 21st as he picked on late in the fourth quarter. The record that was broken was the longest pass in school history as junior quarterback Chris Curran (Oceanview, N.J./Ocean City) tossed a 93-yard scoring pass to sophomore wide receiver Darius Jones (Lawnside, N.J./Haddon Heights) in the second quarter with 1:41 left. Curran had another outstanding game as he threw four touchdown passes and ran for another. He finished 16-for-31 for 270 yards and ran for 27 more. Sophomore running back Bryan Ellis (Owings Mills, Md./McDonogh School) finished the night with 103 yards rushing on 22 attempts.
