Ward Udinski, Juniata

Udinski accounted for seven touchdowns as the Eagles defeated McDaniel, 56-31. He completed 22-of-28 passes for a career-high 469 yards and five TDs, while also rushing 13 times for 90 yards and two more scores. Udinski's TD tosses covered 48, 76, 14, 85 and 2 yards, while his scoring scampers were from 1 and 4 yards out. His 559 yards of total offense is a Centennial single-game record while the seven touchdowns responsible ties a Conference mark.

Rocca enjoyed one of his finest games with a career-high eight tackles, including a sack, along with a fumble recovery and a pass breakup as the Blue Jays handled Ursinus, 42-14. Hop's defense held the Bears more than 18 points and 100 yards below their season averages.

Slutter set the tone by returning the opening kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown as the Eagles defeated McDaniel, 56-31. He returned three kickoffs for 146 yards on the afternoon and also pulled in seven passes for 128 yards and three more scores.


Around the Conference

 

Dickinson senior QB Cole Ahnell (Rockville, Md.) reached the 5,000-yard mark in career total offense (5,187), completing 20-of-29 passes for 168 yards and three TDs while rushing for 48 yards. It was his third three-TD pass performance of the season. Ahnell moved into fourth place on the program's all-time passing list with 3,556 yards. The Devils were held to a season-low 81 yards rushing by Muhlenberg. Dickinson has scored TDs on its last seven trips to the red zone. Freshman Kevin Ioannidis (Ringoes, N.J.) led the defense with 10 tackles vs. the Mules and also picked off his first pass as a collegian.

 
 

Franklin & Marshall won its third straight game with a 13-8 triumph at Susquehanna. Senior RB Scott LaValva (Bangor, Pa.) went over the century mark for the second consecutive game, rushing for 125 yards on 26 carries. Classmate Jordan Zackery (York, Pa.) is just nine receptions away from tying Johns Hopkins' Dan Wodicka '14 for the Centennial career record (260). Senior Paul McGann (Havertown, Pa.) moved into 20th place on the Conference career catch list (157). Junior QB Matt Magarity (Southhampton, Pa.) is third in the Centennial in completion percentage (65.0).

 
 

Gettysburg dropped its third straight contest, falling to Moravian. Senior DB Gordon Prince (Northfield, N.J.) had a career-high 15 tackles to lead the defense. The Bullets surrendered a season-high 240 yards on the ground to the 'Hounds. Senior QB Zach Miller (Madison, Conn.) threw for 181 yards and two TDs and moved into third place on the school's career passing yardage list (3,874). He needs 339 yards to move into fourth place on the Bullet career total offense chart. Junior LB Kodie McNamara (Manasquan, N.J.) registered his third double-figure tackle effort of the season with 11 stops.

 
 

Johns Hopkins head coach Jim Margraff became the winningest college football coach in Maryland state history with his 175th career victory. He had been tied with Morgan State legend Eddie Hurt who won 174 games from 1929-59. Hopkins can secure at least a share of its sixth straight Centennial title with a win vs. either F&M or McDaniel in its final two games. Senior QB Braden Anderson (Great Falls, Va.) threw for 265 yards and three TDs vs. Ursinus and led the ground game with 68 yards on eight rushes. The defense held the Bears to only 51 net rushing yards. The Blue Jays are 41-1 in their last 42 regular season games.

 
 

Juniata senior QB Ward Udinski (Doylestown, Pa.) set a Centennial record with 559 yards of total offense vs. McDaniel. He completed 22 of 28 passes for 469 yards and five TDs, while running for two TDs to raise his season total to 11. He has scored 10+ rushing touchdowns in each of the last three seasons. Udinski set the program career record for passing yards (7,943), surpassing Jay Leonard '09 who amassed 7,610 from 2005-08, and is just 57 away from becoming the third Centennial passer to throw for 8,000 career yards. Sophomore WR Kirby Breault (Elizabethtown, Pa.) caught six passes for 212 yards and two TDs – the first Eagle with 200 receiving yards in a game since 2005. Senior WR Isaiah Slutter (Hawley, Pa.) had four all-purpose TDs – three receiving and another on a 98-yard kickoff return. It is the first time Juniata has scored 50 or more points since 1999.

 
 

McDaniel sophomore QB Matty Callahan (Germantown, Md.) threw for a career-best 387 yards vs. Juniata – the most by a Terror since Brian Van Deusen '96 registered 433 vs. Ursinus in 1994 – and amassed a program-record 455 yards of total offense. He has thrown for 668 yards and six TDs in the last two games. The two teams combined for 1,215 yards of total offense. Senior WRs Mike Oliveto (Robesonia, Pa.) and Nick O'Melia (Taneytown, Md.) each went over 100 yards receiving with 150 and 103, respectively.  Sophomore LB Matt Quattrone (Carlisle, Pa.) recorded 10 tackles - his third double-figure tackle effort in five games.

 
 

Moravian posted its first-ever win at Gettysburg, defeating the Bullets 34-14. Sophomore RB Chris Negron (Allentown, Pa.) caught a pair of TD passes and ran for 96 yards and another score. He needs 208 yards to become just the third sophomore in Conference history to rush for 2,000 yards in his first two seasons. Freshman Eli Redmond (Laurys Station, Pa.) also surpassed the century mark with 113 yards and a TD. Sophomore QB Mike Hayes (Philadelphia, Pa.) completed 20-of-30 passes for 205 yards and three scores.  Sophomore WR Jalen Snyder-Scipio (Pottstown, Pa.) caught a career-high nine passes for 89 yards. Junior Anthony Orlando (Bethlehem, Pa.) returned from injury and made a team-high 13 tackles with an interception.

 
 

Muhlenberg RB Max Cepeda (River Edge, N.J.) set a Centennial freshman record with his sixth 100+ effort in a 34-20 win over Dickinson. His 792 yards is the sixth-highest total by a CC rookie and is eight yards shy of becoming the fourth Centennial freshman back to rush for 800 in a season.  Sophomore QB Nick Palladino (Millstone Twp., N.J.) threw for 316 yards and three TDs and became just the third QB in Conference history to throw for over 4,000 yards (4,003) as a sophomore. In fact, only 10 others have amassed 4K in their first three seasons. Senior PK Connor Winter (Boonton Twp., N.J.) broke program career record with 27 field goals and 207 kick-scoring points.

 
 

Susquehanna fell to 1-7 with a 13-8 home loss to F&M. Senior PK Spencer Hotaling (Selinsgrove, Pa.) booted field goals of 23 and 34 yards to become the fifth Centennial kicker to make 30 in a career (30-of-38). He is on pace to set a Conference career percentage record (78.9%). The Crusaders' other points came on a defensive extra-point return by senior DB Cody Miller (Towanda, Pa.). Senior RB Ian Richardson (Hatfield, Pa.) surpassed the century mark for the second straight game, running for 103 yards. SS Ian Murray (Tyrone, Pa.) had eight tackles, including a sack and three for loss, and forced a fumble for the defense

 
 

Ursinus fell behind early to Johns Hopkins and never recovered in a 42-14 loss. Senior QB Kevin Monahan (East Windsor, N.J.) set season-highs for completions (25) and attempts (46) but was sacked four times. He had only been dropped twice in the previous six games. Soph RB Corey Kelly (Conshohocken, Pa.) scored a rushing TD for the sixth game out of seven. Junior DE Steve Ambs (Pottstown, Pa.) leads the Conference in sacks (9.0), tackles for loss (17.5) and fumble recoveries (3) and is third in tackles (68).
