2016 Outlook

Juniata took a step back last fall but the foundation is in place for a winning season ... the offense has talent in the skill positions, while the defense welcomes back seven starters ... improvement on both sides of the ball could lead to a third non-losing season in four years. Prediction: 9th

Head Coach Tim Launtz

Launtz (Juniata ’80) was named head coach at his alma mater in 2011 and has a 19-32 career record … he had previously served 15 years on the Juniata staff, including seven as quarterbacks coach … Launtz was head coach at West Branch (Pa.) High School in 1980 and 1981 … he is the 22nd head coach in Juniata history and the sixth alumnus to guide the program.

Knox Stadium

Knox Stadium has been the home of Juniata football since 1923, when a group of alumni helped the college purchase the land east of Scott Street to expand the existing athletic field. Current Eagle football players are part of a tradition that has seen Juniata compete in the same place for 96 seasons.

The current stadium, grandstand, and press box were opened and dedicated in the fall of 1988, and named in honor of NFL coaching legend and Juniata College alumnus Chuck Knox '54. Prior to the dedication, it was known as College Field until 1962, and New College Field until 1987.

Home Record (1983-2015): 62-101-3 (.383)
