GETTYSBURG, Pa.  – The Gettysburg faithful will be out in full force for this Saturday's Centennial Conference meeting between the Bullets and Susquehanna University, which coincides with Family Weekend on the Gettysburg campus.

OPENING KICKOFF
Gettysburg (2-5, 2-4 CC) looks to bounce back from a tough loss at No. 21 Johns Hopkins University last Friday with a pair of home games at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium. The Bullets face a surging Susquehanna (5-2, 4-2 CC) that has won its last three games to claim a top-three spot in the conference standings.

GAME COVERAGE
Saturday's game will feature live video and live stats courtesy of Gettysburg's partnership with Stretch Internet. A full recap of the game will be posted on GettysburgSports.com with additional in-game updates sent out via Twitter.

THE SERIES
Gettysburg holds a 9-4-1 lead in the all-time series with Susquehanna. After meeting seven times from 1897 to 1922, the teams did not play again until 2010. The Bullets had won four in a row before the River Hawks picked up a 55-40 victory last fall. The two foes have combined for at least 52 points in every game since 2010, including 111 (56-55) in an overtime shootout in 2011.

LAST MEETING
Susquehanna opened the second half with three scores to pull away from Gettysburg for a 55-40 victory in Selinsgrove last September. The two teams combined for nearly 1,000 yards of total offense in the game. Quarterback Justin Davidov '18 (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) totaled 404 yards, throwing for 275 and four scores and adding 129 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Jake Skinner '19 (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) paced the defense with 17 tackles. Susquehanna's Cameron Ott scored five touchdowns and totaled 184 yards on 40 carries.

LAST TIME OUT
Gettysburg suffered a 52-0 setback at the hands of No. 21 Johns Hopkins last Friday. The Blue Jays out-gained the Bullets 607-139 and allowed only five pass completions in the game. Freshman Reggie JeanCharles (Galloway, N.J./Holy Spirit) totaled 34 rushing yards and senior Justin Davidov added 32 on the ground. Junior Jake Skinner led the defense with 16 tackles.

SCOUTING SUSQUEHANNA
Susquehanna's potent offense has been playing second-fiddle to a stout defensive unit that leads the Centennial in total defense at 282.9 yards allowed per game. The River Hawks rank second in passing defense (174 ypg) and third in rushing defense (108.9 ypg). The squad has also converted 14-of-22 fourth downs this fall.

Senior running back Cameron Ott paces the CC in rushing with 98.7 yards per game. Ott has totaled 286 yards in his last two outings and he has scored a touchdown in his last three. Senior quarterback Nick Crusco recently went over 6,000 passing yards for his career and he ranks third in the league with 228.9 passing yards per game. Crusco also ranks second in completion percentage at 64.4. Senior wide receiver Diamente Halloway is Crusco's favorite target with team highs for receptions (34), receiving yards (427), and touchdowns (6). Freshman Terrell Brown had a 50-yard punt return for a touchdown against Dickinson earlier this season. Defensively, junior linebacker Connor Thompsonleads the team with 59 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, and three fumble recoveries. Senior Ryan Ganard has picked off a pair of passes this fall.

THE END OF AN ERA
The 2017 season will mark the final campaign for Gettysburg Head Coach Barry Streeter. Streeter joined the Bullets' staff as an assistant coach in 1975 and was named head coach just three years later. Over the last 39 years, he has guided the Bullets to 195 victories and three Centennial Conference titles. In 1985, he led Gettysburg to its only unbeaten regular season (9-0-1) and an appearance in the NCAA Division III semifinals – the best finish by a Centennial institution to this day. Streeter has coached 207 all-conference performers, three CC Offensive Players of the Year, 21 All-Americans, and six Academic All-Americans at Gettysburg. He played both football and lacrosse at Lebanon Valley College and is a member of the Dutchmen's Hall of Fame.

GETTYSBURG OFFENSE
Freshman tailback Reggie JeanCharles leads conference newcomers with 83.4 rushing yards per game. He's scored four touchdowns and ranks fourth overall in the conference in rushing yards (584). Senior Justin Davidov is averaging 177.7 passing yards per game and has thrown eight scores. Davidov has also rushed for 364 yards and four touchdowns. Six Bullets have caught at least 10 passes this fall with freshman Cole Menas (Keedysville, Md./Saint James) hauling in a team-high 16 for 158 yards. Senior Ryan Thompson (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) has reeled in three touchdown passes.

GETTYSBURG DEFENSE
Juniors Jake Skinner and Mike McKnight (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) rank second and fourth, respectively, in the conference in tackles. Skinner has posted 71 stops and 3.5 tackles for a loss, while McKnight has logged 63 tackles along with a league-high 15 pass break-ups. Junior Logan Aikey (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) ranks fourth in the conference with 11 tackles for a loss. Aikey has also put up 48 tackles and 4.5 tackles for a loss. Freshman Thomeir Richardson (Trenton, N.J./Trenton Central) has recovered four fumbles and ranks second in the league with nine pass break-ups.

GETTYSBURG SPECIAL TEAMS
Sophomore Justin Geisel (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day School) has hit six field goals this season, five of which have gone for at least 37 yards. He is also averaging 57.7 yards on kickoffs. Sophomore Evan Tannenbaum(Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) is averaging 36.8 yards per punt and has placed 13 punts inside the opponent's 20-yardline.

DUAL THREAT
Earlier this season, senior quarterback Justin Davidov became the fourth Bullet signal caller to post 1,000 rushing yards in a career, joining Matt Flynn '10 (1,128), Kody Smith '13 (1,066), and Joe Gossweiler '05 (1,056). Entering this weekend, Davidov is just 61 yards shy of Flynn's rushing record for a Gettysburg quarterback. Davidov has also thrown for over 2,000 yards and joins the aforementioned trio as the only members of the 2,000-1,000 club.

ROOKIE RUSHER
With 178 rushing yards against Juniata, freshman Reggie JeanCharles posted the best rushing day by a first-year tailback since Tom Sturges '08 went for 180 against Ursinus on Oct. 23, 2004. The most rushing yards in a game by a Gettysburg freshman was 242 by Paul Smith '00 against Swarthmore in 1996. Smith also holds the program record for rushing yards by a freshman with 888 in 1996. Smith and JeanCharles are both graduates of the same high school – Holy Spirit – in Absecon, N.J. JeanCharles' 584 yards this season are the third-most by a freshman running back at Gettysburg.

RECOVERY MODE
Senior Glenn Benson picked up two fumbles against Moravian. It's the first time a Gettysburg player grabbed two loose balls since Conor Quinn '08 accomplished the feat against Carnegie Mellon University in the ECAC Southwest Bowl in 2007. Benson has posted 37 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception this season.

BREAK IT UP
Junior Mike McKnight recorded a career-high five pass break-ups against Moravian, which is one shy of the program's single-game record. McKnight already has 15 pass break-ups this season, the most by a Bullet in over two decades. Andy Baribeau '96 holds the program record for pass break-ups in a season with 16 in 1995.

BLOCKED KICKS
Gettysburg swatted a pair of kick attempts in the season opener. Senior Dakota Brovero blocked an extra point and classmate Andrew Major (St. Davids, Pa./Radnor) denied a 30-yard field goal. It was the first time Gettysburg managed two blocked kicks in the same game since beating Misericordia in 2013. Major also swatted away a field goal against Johns Hopkins, moving him into a tie for the program's career mark with four.

FAMILY TIES
Senior Dakota Brovero is the second member of his family to play for Coach Streeter. Dakota's father, Don '88, was a three-time letterwinner with the Bullets and helped the team win the Centennial Conference title and go to the NCAA Division III semifinals in 1985. The younger Brovero is in the midst of a career year on the defensive line with 33 tackles, six tackles for a loss, and a team-high five sacks.

IN THE ARMY NOW
Six members of the Gettysburg community took the Oath of Enlistment into the Army prior to the game against Dickinson, including sophomore football player Tyrus Legenski (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional). All of the cadets received full tuition and fee scholarships for college valued between $100,000-200,000.
