Hopkins Earns NFHCA Region V Coaching Staff of the Year

Johns Hopkins field hockey coach Jane Wells and assistants James AlbaneseMerritt Davis and Bill Pullin have been named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Region V Coaching Staff of the Year it was announced.
 
This is the program's second Regional Coaching Staff of the Year honor under Wells, who recently completed her fifth year at Homewood.
 
Wells and her staff led Hopkins to the most successful season in program history in 2021. JHU won 22 straight games and advanced to the NCAA Championship game for the first time in program history. The Blue Jays completed their first-ever undefeated regular season (17-0) and went unbeaten in Centennial Conference play for the second straight season. Hopkins' 22-game win streak and 22 wins this season are both program records.
 
Since arriving at Homewood in 2017, Wells has led Hopkins to an 81-12 (.871) record, three Centennial Conference Tournament titles and three trips to the NCAA Final Four. She is also an impressive 38-2 in the Centennial Conference.
