Around the Conference

Dickinson

The Red Devils knocked off their highest-ranked opponent in at least 16 years, toppling #15 Franklin & Marshall in Lancaster. It was the 14th win of the year for Dickinson after finishing 4-19 a year ago.  The #2 seed is the highest-ever for the Devils in Centennial tournament history. Dickinson's only Centennial championship was in 1997.

Franklin & Marshall

The Diplomats' 10-game win streak was snapped by Dickinson on the day that the College named its court after head coach Glenn Robinson. Senior Mike Baker (Maryland Heights, MO / Whitfield School) is second in the CC with eight double-doubles on the year. It is the third straight year that F&M has earned the #1 seed and hosted the Centennial tourney. The Diplomats have won five Centennial Conference championships.

Gettysburg

The Bullets defeated McDaniel, 66-54, to secure the #3 seed for this week's tournament. It is the seventh straight season that Gettysburg has earned a first-round tourney bye and 11th consecutive Centennial playoff bid. Senior Andrew Powers (Boyertown, PA / Boyertown) is tied for second place on the Centennial career scoring list with 1,930 points. Gettysburg has won three Centennial Conference championships.

Haverford

The Fords are back in the Conference tournament for the fourth straight odd-numbered year (2005-07-09-11) and visit McDaniel in the first-round game on Wednesday. Haverford is 0-4 in CC road playoff games. The Fords won at Muhlenberg for the first time since 2005. Senior Sam Permutt (Columbia, MD / Atholton) is third on the all-time school blocked shot list (76). Haverford and McDaniel split their season series with each winning on the road.

Johns Hopkins

Senior John Alberici (West Chester, PA / Malvern Prep) saved his best for last, scoring a career-high 29 points to go along with 12 rebounds on Senior Day vs. Washington. The seven wins for the Blue Jays are the fewest in a season since 1995 (5-19).

McDaniel

The Terror dropped its regular-season finale at Gettysburg to finish with the #4 seed for this week's tourney. McDaniel will play host to Haverford for Wednesday for the right to meet top-seeded F&M in the semifinals. The Terror has not won a postseason game since 1961. Junior Cullen Murray-Kemp (Trappe, MD / Easton) posted his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 boards vs. Swarthmore. Haverford and McDaniel split their season series with each winning on the road.

Muhlenberg

Junior Spencer Liddic (Clarks Summit, PA / Abington Heights) broke a 40-year-old school record for points in a single season with 509. Bob McClure set the previous mark of 508 in 1971. Liddic is 15th on the Mules' career scoring list with 1,221 points. Senior Evan Tozer (Norwood, PA / Interboro) finished his career fifth with 127 three-point goals.

Swarthmore

Sophomore Will Gates (Willseyville, NY / Candor Central) scored 457 points on the year - the seventh-highest single-season total ever at Swarthmore. Jay Kober (North Huntingdon, PA / Norwin) finished second among Centennial freshmen with a 11.8 ppg average.

Ursinus

Senior Matt Hilton (Lewistown, PA / Lewistown) set a Centennial career record for free throw percentage at 90.1 percent, making 274 of 301. He is the first CC player to make at least 90 percent of his charity tosses in three seasons. Sophomore Jon Ward (Allentown, PA / Parkland) has 832 career points - second behind Dennis Stanton '04 for the school's most points in a player's first two seasons. Ward's 63.4 field goal percentage is the eighth-best in Centennial single-season history, while his 182 free throws is the second highest.

Washington College

Junior Kevin Breslin (Hagerstown, MD / St. Maria Goretti) scored 29 points at Ursinus to become the 35th player in program history to reach 1,000 points. He joins his older brother, Joey '07, as members of the 1K Club at Washington and are the second set of brothers to each score more than 1,000 points at the school. Breslin finished the season with 1,039 points.
