The Shoremen and the Blue Jays meet in a Centennial playoff game for the first time since 1999 when they square off in a Conference first-round matchup tonight at Goldfarb Gym. It is the 128th meeting between the two rivals in a series that dates to 1928 with JHU holding a 68-59 series advantage. The teams split the season series with Washington College winning in Baltimore, 64-59, and Hopkins winning in Chestertown, 71-66. The Blue Jays are 27-12 all-time at Goldfarb against their Eastern Shore rivals. The Shoremen's Kevin Breslin was a first-team All-Centennial selection after averaging 18.1 points per game this season. JHU's Daniel Corbett (8.4) was a second-team choice, while George Bugarinovic (9.9) earned honorable mention. Watch LIVE!

What to Watch For?
Hopkins is 13-3 when leading at halftime; Washington is 9-3.
The Blue Jays are 7-2 in games decided by five points or less; the Shoremen are 6-4.
WAC has rallied twice from halftime deficits of five points or more to win games, including a 10-point comeback vs. Carthage. JHU has one rally that also was from 10 back vs. Muhlenberg.

Miscellaneous
13 years ago today (2/22/99), Washington College's Greg Adams set an opening-round scoring record with a 30-point performance in the Shoremen's 72-69 win at Ursinus. And six years ago (2/22/06), Washington's Joey Breslin set a first-round record with 29 points in an 85-79 win vs. Muhlenberg.

Johns Hopkins is 1-1 in opening-round tournament games and 10-9 overall, winning titles in 1999 and 2007. Washington College is 3-0 in openers, 4-8 overall and lost in the championship game to the Jays in 1999.
