Muhlenberg College Mules

Head Coach Scott McClary

Scott McClary (Muhlenberg '94) returned to his alma mater in 2009 as Muhlenberg's 23rd head men's basketball coach. In his first four seasons, he has led the Mules to a 61-45 (.575) record and three Centennial Conference playoff berths, one of which led to the program's first appearance in the Centennial Conference championship game since 2001. A 1994 graduate of Muhlenberg, McClary spent seven years as an assistant coach with the Mules: three years as a student assistant and four years as the top assistant, helping lead the Mules to Centennial Conference championships in 1995 and 1998. McClary came back to Muhlenberg after six years as head coach at Marymount University, where he compiled a 74-83 record, including winning records the last three seasons. In 2009, he was named Capital Athletic Conference coach of the year. / Coaching Staff

2014 Outlook

The Mules return four starters from a squad that reached the Conference semifinals a year ago and were just a basket away from the final. Killing is one of the most dynamic guards in the country and can single-handedly take over a game. Curry is a top-notch shooter, as is Stavetski off the bench. Hargrove has developed into a quality big man and dominates the middle. Bovino and Albano provide size down low, as does Hunter. Muhlenberg is certainly a favorite to return to the final four and 2014 could be 'Berg's year.
