Swarthmore Leads Entering Final Round

Team Leaderboard | Individual Leaderboard | Round 3 Pairings

Swarthmore holds the lead in the team standings following the first two rounds of the 2019 Centennial Conference Men's Golf Championship on Saturday at Brookside Country Club in Macungie, Pa. The Garnet totaled 307 strokes in round one and 320 in round two to take a nine-shot lead with 627 total strokes heading into Sunday's final round of the 54-hole tournament.

McDaniel sits in second place at 636, followed by Gettysburg (642) and Franklin & Marshall (643) in third and fourth, respectively. Dickinson is third at 651, with Muhlenberg (675) and Ursinus (701) rounding out the 36-hole team scores.

After a suspended opening round on Friday that witnessed only three groups complete play due to inclement weather, the tournament schedule got back on track Saturday as the majority of competitors played more than 18 holes on Saturday. Difficult conditions wreaked havoc on scores, as wind gusts estimated up to 40 miles per hour remained consistent throughout the entire day.

Individually, Gettysburg's Danny Harcourt fired rounds of two-over 73 and eight-over 79 (152;+10) to take a three-shot edge into Sunday's final 18 holes. Swarthmore's duo of Vamsi Damerla (77-78, 155) and Nick DiMaio (75-80, 155) are tied for second place on the individual leaderboard, while Franklin & Marshall's Jared Berlin (79-77, 156) sits alone in fourth place.

Round three is set to tee off at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
