Harvey, Hatch Honored

Sophomore midfielder Jack Harvey (New Providence, N.J./New Providence) of the 19th-ranked Gettysburg College men's lacrosse team has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Harvey scored six goals and assisted on another as the Bullets secured the No. 2 seed in this week's Centennial Conference championship tournament. He scored twice in a 12-2 win at McDaniel and followed up with four goals and one assist in a 12-8 triumph against Washington College. With the Bullets leading 9-7 versus the Shoremen, Harvey helped the Bullets clinch their victory by scoring three times over the final 10 minutes.

For the season, Harvey is tied for the team lead in points with 41. He ranks second among the Bullets in goals (28) and is tied for second in assists (13). Among the Centennial Conference leaders, he ranks ninth in goals and 10th in points.

Scott Hatch was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week for men's lacrosse, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The honor is the second of the season for Hatch and the eighth time a member of the team earned the distinction this year.

Hatch (Northport, N.Y. / Northport) posted a 60.7 save percentage and a 6.71 goals-against mark in a 2-0 week that helped the Diplomats secure the top seed in the upcoming CC Tournament. On Wednesday against No. 13 Dickinson, Hatch registered seven saves and allowed just three second-half goals in a 9-8 upset of the Red Devils. The sophomore goalkeeper followed that effort with a 10-save performance in a 19-4 bashing of Muhlenberg on Saturday.
