For the second time this season, freshman Dillon Konzelmann (New Providence, N.J./New Providence) of the Gettysburg College men's soccer team has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week as it was announced Monday, Oct. 8.

In the only game of the week, Konzelmann played a crucial role in guiding the Bullets to a 2-0 victory against Centennial Conference opponent Muhlenberg College on Saturday. He played phenomenal as he stopped all six shots he was faced with, including a critical penalty kick, for Gettysburg. The six saves are a new season-high, while he now has gathered a total of 11 stops on the season.

Konzelmann continues to strive between the pipes as he holds a 3-0-1 record, a spectacular 0.23 goals-against average, and three shutouts. Knozelmann and junior Thomas Keane (Potomac, Md./Gonzaga College) have split a majority of the minutes in goal this season.

Dickinson junior Kevin Gilbert (Boxford, Mass./Masconoment Regional) was named the Centennial Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Gilbert tallied three goals for the Red Devils in a 1-0-1 week. He scored twice in the 5-1 victory against Misericordia and notched Dickinson's lone goal in a 1-1 draw at Washington College.

Gilbert leads the conference with seven goals, matching teammate and last week's conference POTW Frederick Cisse (New Haven, Conn./The Pomfret School). Senior Ward Van de Water (Warrenton, Va./Highland) ranks second, netting six goals on the year. Gilbert holds the top spot in the CC in points with 16.
