Haverford's Ioffreda Earns Division III Player of the Week Award

United Soccer Coaches Release

A day after earn Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, Haverford freshman goalkeeper Dylan Ioffreda was named the United Soccer Coaches Division III Player of the Week.

Ioffreda registered 20 saves and one shutout against a pair of ranked opponents last week. He made 11 saves in the 1-0 win over No. 3 Johns Hopkins and had nine saves in a tie against No. 17 Rowan. Those 11 saves allowed the Fords to overcome a shot disparity as Kevin Kaufman tallied in the first half for the only goal that Haverford needed.

Splitting time in goal so far this season, Iofredda has started three of his five appearances and holds a 2-0-2 record as the goalie of record. He has posted a 0.54 GAA in 332:40 of playing time and has stopped 92.6% of the shots on goal he has faced. Ioffreda is currently leading the conference in both total saves (26) and save percentage. His save percentage is ranked sixth in all of Division III while his GAA also ranks among the top 30 nationally.

The Fords are off to a 3-1-2 start overall and have recorded shutouts in four of the team's first six matches. Those four shutouts rank as the second-highest total among all teams in the Centennial Conference.
