Friday's Men's Swimming Recap

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College 200 free relay (Potter, Harmon, Cubbison, Libby) and 400 medley relay (Harmon, Nawrocki, Libby, Leyens) stole the show Friday night at the 2012 Centennial Conference men's swimming championship. Both teams broke championship and conference records with times of 1:22.04 and 3:23.68, respectively. In addition to the conference records, the 200 free relay also broke the pool record. Each team grabbed an NCAA DIII B cut qualifying time.

Dickinson's Jason Adams broke his own championship, conference and pool record in the 50 free with a time of 20.23, besting his record from last year by .13 of a second. His time was also an NCAA DIII A cut qualifying time. Adams also grabbed another A cut qualifying time in the lead leg of the 200 free relay with a time of 20.39.

500 Free: 1-Drew Close (GC) in 4:40.43, 2-Tim Landon (F&M) in 4:41.26, 3- Sean Staerk (GC) in 4:42.39

200 IM: 1-David Fell (F&M) in 1:54.14, 2-Brandon Gauthier (DC) in 1:56.13, 3-Ashton Leyens (GC) in 1:56.24

50 Free: 1-Jason Adams (DC) in 20.23, 2-Doug Murray (DC) in 20.77, 3-Jason Potter (GC) in 20.89

400 Medley Relay: 1-Gettysburg (Harmon, Nawrocki, Libby, Leyens) in 3:23.68, 2-Dickinson (Adams, Barnard, Miranda, Murray) in 3:24.01, 3-Ursinus (Robinson, Yazbeck, Smith, Wieczorek) in 3:29.68
