GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- Swarthmore's men's and women's swimming teams continued to lead the team standings through day three of the 2023 Centennial Conference Swimming Championships on Saturday at Gettysburg. The Garnet (684) hold a commanding 171-point lead over Gettysburg (513) on the women's side. In the men's standings, the Garnet (594.5) own an 81.5-point advantage over the Bullets (513) entering Sunday's final day of competition.

Four records fell on the women's side on Saturday night, including three by the Garnet. The Swarthmore 200 freestyle relay of Elle Anthony, Erin Szuromi, Ainsley Jane Tambling and Cara Lee kicked off the night with a championship record of 1:34.80, narrowly breaking the previous mark of 1:34.81 that was held by Ursinus since 2019.

Swarthmore's Quinn Weygandt then pieced together her second record-breaking individual performance of the meet, setting new conference, championship and pool records in the 400 IM at 4:27.33. Weygandt broke her own conference record (4:29.19) that she set back in November, and also took down the championship mark of 4:31.20 set by Ursinus' Katie Schultz in 2019.

The other Garnet record of the night came from Sophie Rotival in the 100 breaststroke. Rotival touched in 1:02.89 to set new conference, championship and pool standards. She broke her own championship mark (1:03.76) from 2022 and also topped the conference mark of 1:03.30 set by teammate Annabella Boardman in November of 2021.

Ursinus' Missy Leonard secured her second individual gold of the championship with a record-breaking performance in the 200 freestyle. Leonard touched first in 1:51.04, setting new championship and pool records to claim the title for the second year in a row. The previous championship mark of 1:51.48 was held by former Ursinus standout Corinne Capodanno since 2015.

On the men's side, Swarthmore's Cami Wilson broke the conference and championship records in the 100 butterfly during Saturday's prelims with a time of 48.40. Wilson went on to win the championship final on Saturday night with a time of 48.50. Dickinson's Jason Adams had previously held the 100 fly record (48.49) since 2015.

Other individual golds collected for the women on Saturday included Dickinson's Isabel McGovern in the 100 butterfly (56.54) and Swarthmore's Erin Szuromi repeated as champion in the 100 backstroke (56.68).

On the men's side, the Swarthmore 200 freestyle relay of Ben Wesley, Wilson, Ethan Marotte and Vijay Chhabra took gold in 1:21.56.
