Franklin & Marshall's men's tennis team dropped a close 5-4
decision to No. 16 Mary Washington Thursday afternoon in
non-conference action. The Diplomats (3-4) picked up their four
wins in the singles matches, with the Eagles (8-11) sweeping the
doubles matches.
Gettysburg 9, PSU-Harrisburg 0
The Gettysburg College men’s tennis team put a halt to a
four-match losing streak with a 9-0 non-conference victory over
Penn State Harrisburg on Thursday, March 29. Gettysburg (4-4)
had no issues against the Lions (7-3) dropping only three games in
doubles and sweeping each of the six singles match ups in
straight-sets. Both second doubles tandem Johnny
Nelson and Mike
McLaughlin and third doubles tandem Sebastian
Rodriguez and Mike
Pratt won 8-0, while No. 1 duo Terry
Keegan and Chris
Curranearned an 8-3 victory.
Ursinus 9, Cabrini 0
The Ursinus College men's tennis team got back on the winning
track Thursday, defeating Cabrini by 9-0 score, upping their record
to 9-5. In doubles, sophomore Evan
Lord (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) and sophomoreMatt
Hope (Wyomissing, Pa./Wilson) defeated Anthony DiCicco and
Walter Jesuncosky by an 8-3 score at number one flight, with
sophomore Bennet
Krantz(Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran) and junior Sean
Kelley (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) defeating Ian Monson and
Justin Lutteroty at number two flight, 8-6.
