Tyler Arsenault, Ursinus

Aresenault compiled an undefeated week for the Bears, going 6-0 in three big wins. On Wednesday, he was a double winner at third singles and third doubles as Ursinus knocked off Washington for the first time since 1983 in a 5-4 thriller. On Thursday, Arsenault won two more times, at second doubles and third singles in an 8-1 win over Alvernia. And finally, on Saturday, he was again 2-0 as he won at third singles and third doubles in a key 8-1 conference victory at Gettysburg. Arsenault did not drop a set on the week, helping to keep the Bears in the hunt for a first-ever Centennial Conference playoff berth.

Johns Hopkins freshman Nicholas Garcia (Miami, Fla./John A. Ferguson) went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles last week in helping Johns Hopkins to wins at Franklin & Marshall (9-0) and at home versus Haverford (7-2). Garcia partnered with sophomore Noah Joachim to earn a hard-fought 9-8 (5) win at first doubles against the Dips. He then lost just two games in a 6-1, 6-1 win at fifth singles. On Saturday, Garcia and Joachim picked up the Jays’ lone doubles point with an 8-5 win at second. Garcia then tied the match at 2 points apiece with a 6-1, 6-2 win at fifth singles.
Dickinson freshman Josh Kaseff (Westport, Conn./Staples) went 2-0 in singles to improve to 4-0 on the season. He helped lead the Devils to a pair of 7-2 wins over Gettysburg and Washington.
