Men’s Track Athlete of the Week 4/30/18

Gearinger finished 13th overall in the 5,000m Run with a time of 14:14.68. Gearinger's time was a new personal record and the second-fastest by a Division III entrant, trailing only ninth-place finisher Grant O'Connor of RPI. In addition to recording the second-fastest Division III time on Thursday, the time is the third-fastest in Division III this season, eclipsing the previous fastest mark by nearly seven seconds.

Mullins won the 1500 meters at Moravian's Greyhound Invitational, breaking the meet record set by a Temple runner seven years ago. His time of 3:52.92 is the 10th-fastest in Division III this season.

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week 4/16/18

Morgan was the top collegiate finisher in the 1,500 meter race at the Chester Quarry Classic on Saturday. His time of 3:53.80 was the fifth-fastest in NCAA Division III thus far this season.

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week 4/9/18

Eric Herrmann, Jr., Dickinson
Saint James, N.Y. / Smithtown

Herrmann won the 1500 meters with a time of 3:56.54 and claimed silver in 800 meters, posting a mark of 1:56.97 at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Saturday. His 1500 time ranks second in the CC and 12th in DIII this season while the 800 mark ranks him fourth in the CC.

 

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week 4/2/18

Eric Herrmann, Jr., Dickinson

Herrmann ran to a win in the 800 meters, posting a time of 1:57.08 and placed second in the 1500 meters with a mark of 4:06.20 at the York Invite on Wednesday.

 

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week 3/26/18

Ty Abdul-Karim, Sr., Gettysburg
Washington, D.C. / Woodberry Forest (Va.)

Competing in his first track meet in over three years, Abdul-Karim swept the 100- and 200-meter dash at the Little Meet. He was timed at 11.26 in the 100 while beating out eight other competitors, and he bested a field of 17 in the 200 with his time of 23.04. In addition, Abdul-Karim anchored the 4x100-meter relay team that placed second. His efforts helped the Bullets beat Franklin & Marshall and finish just five points behind Dickinson for the title.
