The 2023 Centennial Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7 at Patterson Field on the campus of Ursinus. The three-day event will begin Friday afternoon and feature 21 events on both the men's and women's sides.

Ursinus is the defending champion and will host the outdoor meet for the second straight year. The Bears ended a seven-year winning streak for Johns Hopkins last spring, winning eight of 22 events to claim their first-ever outdoor title on their home turf. Four CC teams are ranked in the top 10 of their respective regions entering this weekend - Haverford (3rd, Metro), Johns Hopkins (3rd, Mid-Atlantic), Ursinus (5th, Metro) and McDaniel (10th, Mid-Atlantic).

Haverford owns the most CC men's outdoor crowns with 18, followed by Hopkins (7), Dickinson (2) and Ursinus (1).

One conference record fell during the regular season, with Ursinus' Isaiah Battle setting a new hammer throw mark at 55.67 meters. The Centennial Indoor Field Athlete of the Year this past winter, Battle will compete in the hammer, discus and shot put this weekend. In addition to his record-breaking hammer mark, Battle posted the third-best discus throw in CC history (50.04m) this season.

Other athletes with top-10 all-time marks in Centennial history this spring include Dickinson's Ethan Hart in the shot put (16.47m, 2nd all-time), Haverford's Ryan Kredell in the 10,000m (29:35.23, 2nd all-time) and 5,000m (14:06.89), Muhlenberg's Noel House in the javelin (64.12m, 3rd all-time), F&M's Will Bramley in the hammer (51.78m, 3rd all-time), Ursinus' Tim Holzapfel in the hammer (51.32m, 5th all-time), Muhlenberg's Dylan DeMagistris in the hammer (50.47m, 6th all-time), Haverford's Jamie Moreland in the 800 (1:50.65, 4th all-time) and 1500 (3:47.08, 6th all-time), Swarthmore Aidan Cantine in the 1500 (3:47.64, 7th all-time), and McDaniel's Tyren Proctor (15.00, t-10th all-time).

House, Moreland, DeMagistris and Proctor are four of 10 returning champions who will look to pick up another career victory in their respective events this weekend. McDaniel's Nick Razze is the lone two-time returning champion and is aiming for a three-peat in the 400 hurdles. Moreland and Dickinson's Teddy Mercer have won the past two 1500 titles and will compete against each other in that event. Swarthmore's Bastiaan Phair (decathlon), JHU's Gavin McElhennon (10,000m) and Arthur Beyer (800m), and Muhlenberg's John Panny (triple jump) will also look to repeat as individual champions at the CC meet.
