Johns Hopkins' Andrew Ceruzzi Selected Cross Country Runner of the Week

Ceruzzi claimed first place at the Salisbury Fall Classic with a time of 25:45.84. The win is the first of his collegiate career.  The Blue Jays won the meet, with five runners finishing in the top six. The No. 7 ranked Johns Hopkins men’s cross country team also placed first in the Baltimore Metro Invitational this weekend.

At the Lehigh Invitational, junior Vincent Flood led the way for Ursinus by finishing first for the Bears in a time of 20:37.86

McDaniel senior Peter Merkel finished third to lead the Green Terror at the annual Baltimore Metro Meet. Merkel turned in a time of 16:46.23 to post the fourth-fastest time by a McDaniel runner on the 5,000-meter Oregon Ridge course.

At the Albright College Lights Out Invitational on Friday night, Dickinson senior Nick Stender led the 15th-ranked Red Devils to the team title.  Stender crossed the line first in a time of 19:09 as Dickinson claimed a perfect scored and the top seven spots in the race.

Swarthmore senior Erick White won the individual title at the Bryn Mawr Invitational by racing through the 5,000-meter course in 17:17.45, beating out his previous best at the course by more than 40 seconds.
