The Blue Jays won the meet, with five runners finishing in the top six. The No. 7 ranked Johns Hopkins men’s cross country team also placed first in the Baltimore Metro Invitational this weekend. |

McDaniel senior Peter Merkel finished third to lead the Green Terror at the annual Baltimore Metro Meet. Merkel turned in a time of 16:46.23 to post the fourth-fastest time by a McDaniel runner on the 5,000-meter Oregon Ridge course.
At the Albright College Lights Out Invitational on Friday night, Dickinson senior Nick Stender led the 15th-ranked Red Devils to the team title. Stender crossed the line first in a time of 19:09 as Dickinson claimed a perfect scored and the top seven spots in the race.
Swarthmore senior Erick White won the individual title at the Bryn Mawr Invitational by racing through the 5,000-meter course in 17:17.45, beating out his previous best at the course by more than 40 seconds.
