Henry Woods, Haverford

Having won 21 of the 24 Centennial Conference men's cross country championships, powerhouse Haverford looks to capture their 22nd title. The Fords enter the weekend ranked #3 in the national Division III poll. The only other teams to have won the meet are Dickinson (2008, 2009) and Johns Hopkins (2013). Respectively, Haverford has never placed lower than third in the Conference race.

This season, Haverford has notched the top Division III position in each of the team's races. All-American, senior Henry Woods (New York, N.Y. / Dalton School) is the lead returning performer from last year's Conference championship and paces the team this season. Woods finished second in the 2016 race, trailing the top spot by just 4 seconds. He and junior Ryan Herlihy (Dennisville, N.J. / Middle Township) earned first-team honors while juniors Dylan Gearinger (Berwick, Pa. / Berwick), Graham Peet (Vashon, Wash. / Northwest School), and Greg Morgan (Hollidaysburg, Pa. / Episcopal) return to the event as second-team All-Conference athletes.

Scott Pourshalchi, Johns Hopkins

At last year's championship, Haverford edged Johns Hopkins by nine-points (34-43), which was the second smallest point differential in the 24-year history of the Conference meet. The Blue Jays, who hold a #14 national ranking, return to the meet with hopes of closing last year's nine-point gap and upseting favorite Haverford. Senior Louis Levine (Frederick, Md. / Gov. Thomas Johnson) finished in 4th place last year, earning first-team status for the second season. He looks to become one of only 15 runners to capture first-team three or more times. Levine is a notable contender for the first place position. Junior Scott Pourshalchi (Roslyn, N.Y. / Roslyn) also returns as an All-Conference recipient, landing second-team recognition in 2016.

Eric Herrmann, Dickinson

Dickinson is currently positioned just behind Haverford and Johns Hopkins with a regional ranking of #5. The 2016 Rookie of the Year, sophomore Bryce Descavish (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) leads the team alongside junior Eric Herrmann (Saint James, N.Y./ Smithtown).

Muhlenberg junior Corey Mullins (Danbury, Conn. / Danbury) is the final returning All-Conference runner from 2016. Others to keep an eye on include Franklin & Marshall junior Spencer Lyman (New Canaan, Conn./ New Cannan), Gettysburg junior Alex Petrecca (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde), McDaniel junior Gavin Gibson (Newark, Del. / Sanford), Ursinus sophomore James McDaid (East Windsor, N.J./ Hightstown), and Swarthmore senior Mayank Agrawal and sophomore Vaughn Parts.
