Metro Regional Results | Mid-Atlantic Regional Results
In the first year of the new regional format, Centennial Conference men's cross country teams and individuals put together strong showings at the NCAA Metro and Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Saturday. Haverford won the team title at the Metro Regional, while Dickinson's Christopher Scharf won the individual crown at the Mid-Atlantic Regional.
In total, the Centennial collected one team title, one individual title and 27 all-region awards throughout the two regional meets.
LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- At the Metro Regional at Gloucester County DREAM Park, Haverford cruised to the team title with five runners in the top-18 to total 50 points and defeat second-place TCNJ by 49 points. It marks the 19th regional title for the Fords as a member of the Centennial and the first since 2018.
Ryan Kredell led the Fords with a second-place finish in 25:09.0, followed by Max Brelig (4th; 25:21.2), Peter Buckley (11th; 26:11.3), Amos Karlsen (15th; 26:16.6) and Peter La Rochelle (18th; 26:21.5) in scoring positions for the Fords. Nico Tripeny (25th) and Miles Colescott (26th) also earned all-region honors with top-35 placings for Haverford.
Swarthmore placed third in the 21-team field with 116 points, led by top-10 finishes from Aidan Cantine (5th; 25:27.9) and Atticus Hempel (7th; 25:46.0). Aiden Tomov (21st) and Harrison Kim (27th) also nabbed all-region awards for the Garnet.
Ursinus took seventh place with 164 points, led by all-region performers Giles Daly (14th), Marcos Maciel (17th) and Christian Rosado (29th). Muhlenberg finished 14th with 378 points to round out the CC team scores at the Metro Regional.
NEWVILLE, Pa. -- At the Mid-Atlantic Regional at Big Spring High School, Dickinson's Christopher Scharf ran to the individual crown while Johns Hopkins finished second in the team standings to lead a contingent of five Centennial Conference squads.
Two weeks after claiming the individual title at the Centennial championship, Scharf once again crossed first with a time of 25:51.6, 33 seconds faster than the second-place finisher from Carnegie Mellon. Scharf becomes the 13th runner in CC history to win the individual regional crown, and the first ever from Dickinson.
In the team standings, Hopkins led the way in second place with 63 points, trailing team champion Carnegie Mellon (30) by 33 points. Matthew Kleiman paced the Blue Jays with a fourth-place finish in 26:29.2, while Tyler Amos (12th) Charlie Teeter (14th), Gavin McElhennon (16th) and Ian Spears (17th) rounded out the scoring positions for JHU. Jonas Larson (24th) and Tommy Li (28th) also garnered all-region status for the Blue Jays with top-35 finishes.
Dickinson finished in third place in the team standings, led by Christopher Scharf's individual title and a seventh-place finish from twin brother Charles Scharf (26:39.7). Jacob Doherty Munroe (18th) and Matthew Dietrick (31st) also secured all-region placings for the Red Devils.
Gettysburg placed 11th in the 31-team field with 328 points, led by all-region performers Dylan McKeever (22nd) and Connor Elliott (24th).
Rounding out the CC team scoring were Franklin & Marshall in 14th (376) and McDaniel in 19th (526).
