F&M Upends Ursinus to Advance

With its 61-49 win over Ursinus Wednesday night in the first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs, Franklin & Marshall won its first-ever CC playoff game. The Diplomats were 0-for-7 in previous trips in the 18-year history of the conference playoffs.

The win advanced F&M to Saturday's semifinal opposite No. 1 seed Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. The Diplomats tip off at 3 p.m. following the 1 p.m. semifinal game featuring Gettysburg and Muhlenberg.

Elizabeth Snyder led the Diplomats with a game-high 18 points. She was 2-of-3 from behind the arc, 6-of-11 from the field, 4-of-5 from the line and added eight rebounds. Megan Pauley recorded her second double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Lindsay Teuber paced Ursinus with 14 points.
