Deja Vu All Over Again - Hopkins and Muhlenberg for Women's Title

Deja Vu All Over Again - Hopkins and Muhlenberg for Women's Title

Alita Zabrecky, Muhlenberg and Chantel Mattiola, Johns Hopkins

Muhlenberg at Johns Hopkins
For the ninth time in 19 seasons of Centennial women's basketball, it will be Johns Hopkins and Muhlenberg playing for the championship. The Blue Jays advanced to their 13th final with a 55-47 victory over Haverford, while the defending champion Mules are back in the title game for the fifth straight year and 11th overall. Hopkins swept the regular season series, 76-67 and 67-43, and leads the all-time series, 22-16. The Jays have won five of the last six matchups, but Muhlenberg's win came last February in the CC title game. Will the title tilt come down to the stars - 'Berg's Alexandra Chili (17.0 ppg) and the Jays' Alex Vassila (11.0 ppg, 9.5 rpg) - or the lesser lights that will shine in the glow of the trophy - the Mules' Alita Zabrecky (15.0) and Chantel Mattiola (12.6 ppg)
