Vassila led the Blue Jays to a perfect 3-0 week, including two wins against the top-two teams in the conference standings. The senior averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks over the course of three games. Vassila's best game came against Gettysburg, as she notched 18 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Head coach Nancy Funk earned her 600th collegiate win Thursday night against Gettysburg, becoming just the 10th coach in DIII history to reach the plateau. She ranks seventh in total victories among active DIII coaches.  Alex Vassila (Potomac. Md./Winston Churchill) became just the fifth player in Hopkins history to tally 900 points and 800 rebounds in a career.

Bryn Mawr junior Nicolette Parmese (Levittown, N.Y./Division Avenue) averaged 15.5 points and 10 rebounds per game as she tallied her 8th and 9th double-double of the season. On Thursday against Johns Hopkins, Parmese became the 6th player in Bryn Mawr history to reach 1,000 points as she scored a team-best 18 points.

Katie Lytle (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) continued her streak of double-double performances with 17 points and 11 rebounds against Muhlenberg and 17 points and 17 rebounds in the overtime loss to Johns Hopkins. She extends the streak to nine consecutive games - just one shy of the program record set by Kathryn Stockbower in 2010 - and has 14 this season. In the 68-66 victory over Muhlenberg, Swarthmore made a season-high 13 three-pointers, including five from Eliza Polli and three apiece from junior Kayla Moritzky and freshman Jessica Jowdy.

Gettysburg solidified its hold on the second spot in the conference standings with two wins last week. Junior guard Alyssa Isler (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) tied a school record with 12 made free throws as part of a career-high 25 points in the win over Haverford. Junior Caroline Murphy (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) logged 19 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in the win over Ursinus.

Ursinus freshman Jessica Porada (Morristown, N.J./Morris Catholic) averaged a double-double for the week with 14.3 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per contest.

Haverford sophomore Jacquelyne Pizzuto (Bellemead, N.J./Rutgers Preparatory School) averaged eight assists in three contests and committed just three turnovers in 113 minutes of action. Pizzuto set new career highs in assists (10) and steals (five).

Belma Mekic (Sarajevo, Bosnia/Cedar Cliff, Pa.) averaged 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games last week. She went 12-for-14 from the free throw line, converting a pair around a timeout, with two seconds remaining to overtake Washington, 56-55. Mekic scored 22 points and controlled six rebounds in the win over Washington, hitting 8-of-10 free throws.

Senior Kate Clawson (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand) averaged 15.0 points per game and shot 64.7 percent from the field to spearhead two big road comebacks. She was 5-for-7 (71.4 percent) from three-point range in the two games and added nine rebounds, three blocks and four steals.
