Brown recorded a pair of double-doubles as F&M defeated Hood and Swarthmore to go 2-0 on the week. On Monday against Hood, Brown scored 14 points and pulled in 15 rebounds as the Dipolomats won 49-34. On Saturday, Brown recorded her fourth double-double of the season and second of the week, tying a game high with 21 points while collecting 12 rebounds, four steals, and three blocks.

 

Notebook:

Haverford sophomore F Sierra Berkel (Flushing, N.Y.) registered 10 or more rebounds in each of her last three contests. Against a top-25 team in Montclair State, Berkel secured 10 rebounds and was just one point shy of a double-double. Haverford won its first conference game of the season against Johns Hopkins on Thursday. In that win, the forward added nine points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and a block. On Saturday, Berkel posted her ninth career double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds as the Fords evened their conference record to 2-2.

McDaniel senior G Lindsey Nichols (Wilmington, Del.) led the Green Terror to a 2-1 week, averaging 18.7 points per game. In a 64-57 win over St. Mary's on Monday, she reached the 1,000-point mark for her career when she hit a 3-pointer early in the third quarter. She scored no fewer than 16 points in each game, including tallying 23 in the Green Terror's lone conference game of the week - a 62-50 loss at Ursinus. She also had 18 rebounds, three assists, and four steals.

Ursinus senior G Alyssa Polimeni (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists to lead the Bears to a 2-1 week. She scored 11 points, going 7-of-9 from the line, in a 65-56 loss to DeSales. In a 54-41 win over Washington College, Polimeni played all 40 minutes and filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists. To end the week, she recorded 13 points and 5 assists to help the Bears beat McDaniel and remain undefeated in conference play.

Gettysburg senior F Jessica Porter (Narberth, Pa.) helped the Bullets win three of four games during a six-day stretch. Porter averaged 14.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, while also shooting 46.3 percent from the floor. She earned her second career MVP award at the Gettysburg Tournament after posting 28 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the title game against Eastern. She pumped in 18 in a victory at Swarthmore and closed the week with a nine-point, 12-rebound performance against Haverford.

Dickinson junior G Helen Roberts (Oakton, Va.) had a pair of strong outings last week, averaging 16.5 points per game, shooting 44 percent from beyond the arc. She knocked down seven three-pointers to break into the school top 10 with the 57th of her career. She averaged four rebounds and handed out five assists while going perfect from the line (4-4).

Way played the best game of her young career Saturday to help lead Johns Hopkins to a 54-47 victory against a talented RIT squad which came into the contest with a 7-1 record and winners of four straight. The freshman guard led the Blue Jays with career highs in both points (14) and rebounds (8). Additionally, Way nailed four free throws and collected two tough rebounds in the final 30 seconds to clinch the win and help JHU snap a four-game losing skid.

Jenkintown, Pa. / Jenkintown

Dorshimer posted season highs for points (27), rebounds (7), and blocked shots (3) in Gettysburg's 72-62 triumph over Shenandoah. Dorshimer finished one three-pointer shy of the school record by going 6-of-10 from beyond the arc and she finished 9-of-17 (52.9 percent) from the field overall. Over her last four games, the first-year guard is averaging 21.3 points per game.

Porada averaged 20.7 points in a 3-0 CC week for the Bears, scoring at least 19 points in each contest. She led Ursinus to its first win over Johns Hopkins since 2011 with 24 points (including the go-ahead and winning baskets) and 14 rebounds, her 25th career double-double. She currently ranks second in the CC in scoring (17.4) and 6th in rebounding (8.3).

Christina Manning, Muhlenberg
Sophomore, Guard, 5-9
Newtown Square, Pa. / Cardinal O'Hara

Manning averaged 21.0 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field as the Mules posted wins against 2015 CC playoff qualifiers Haverford and Gettysburg. Manning was 5-for-7 from three-point range en route to scoring a career-high 25 points in the Gettysburg game. Two of her threes came on consecutive possessions late in the fourth quarter and gave Muhlenberg a double-digit lead after the Bullets had cut it to five.

Alyssa Polimeni, Ursinus

Berkeley Heights, N.J. / Governor Livingston Regional

Polimeni led the Bears to a 67-55 win in their Conference opener against Swarthmore. She scored a career-high 21 points, shooting 40.0 percent from the field and knocking down 8-of-11 free throws. Polimeni also dished out nine assists and grabbed eight rebounds in the win.

Narberth, Pa. / Lower Merion

Porter picked up MVP honors after averaging 18.5 points and 10 rebounds per game at the Frostburg State Tip-off Tournament. She posted eight points and seven rebounds and connected on the game-winning three-pointer with three seconds left as the Bullets took down 20th-ranked Geneseo State 50-47 in the opening game. In the title game, the senior forward topped her personal high with 29 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Gettysburg past the host Bobcats 83-53.

Brandi Vallely, Muhlenberg

Oley Valley, Pa. / Oley Valley

Vallely was named MVP of the Scotty Wood Tournament after averaging 15.0 points, 10.5 assists, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.5 steals to lead the Mules to the championship. She recorded her second straight triple-double with 14 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds in only 24 minutes against Hood, becoming the first women's basketball player in Centennial Conference history with more than one triple-double. Vallely, who shot 63.2 percent from the field in the two games, scored a career-high 16 points against SUNY Cortland in the championship game.

Vallely made her first career start a memorable one, recording the seventh triple-double in Centennial Conference history with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and a CC-record 15 assists in a 77-74 win at Moravian. Vallely scored or assisted on the Mules' last 12 field goals and had two points, two assists, and a steal in a game-ending 10-3 run.
