Lydia Konstanzer, Ursinus

Lydia Konstanzer added another accolade to cap a sensational freshman campaign with the Ursinus College women's basketball team, garnering All-Middle Atlantic Region Rookie of the Year honors from d3hoops.com on Monday.

The first player in program history to earn regional Rookie of the Year recognition, Konstanzer was also tabbed the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year and became just the ninth freshman in league history to make the all-conference first or second team with a second-team nod.

Konstanzer topped Ursinus in scoring (14.3 PPG, 4th CC), rebounding (8.0 RPG, 7th CC), field-goal percentage (46.9, 3rd CC), and free-throw percentage (75.0, 3rd CC), ranking among the conference's top 10 in all four categories. Konstanzer, who added 39 steals and seven blocks, recorded nine double-doubles, good for second in the CC; she had 32 points and 10 rebounds against Swarthmore on December 7, and went off for 26 points and 15 boards in a victory over Johns Hopkins on January 7.

Konstanzer is the first Ursinus freshman to receive all-conference recognition since Jessica Porada in 2013.

Behind Konstanzer and a young core of contributors, the Bears posted their first winning season since 2011, going 13-12 overall and 11-9 in CC play.
