Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week 11/20/17

Brandi Vallely, Sr, G, Muhlenberg

Vallely averaged 14.7 points, 12.3 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game in leading Muhlenberg to a 3-0 start. She tied the Division III career record of six triple-doubles with 18 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds against Lycoming in the championship game of the Scotty Wood Tournament en route to earning MVP honors for the second time in three years. She also had 21 points and 14 assists in a 79-71 win at Moravian, a team that received votes in the D3hoops.com preseason poll. Vallely recorded double figures in assists in all three games, including 12 in only 17 minutes against Notre Dame (Md.), moving into second place in the CC all-time list with 497 for her career.

Emily Gibbons, Sr, F, Gettysburg

Gibbons was named MVP of the Mary Washington Tip-off Tournament after averaging 20.5 points and 19 rebounds per game. She posted double-doubles in each contest, including a 29-point, 22-rebound performance in the season opener against Lehman. In the title game against Virginia Wesleyan, she turned in 12 points and 16 rebounds and swatted away the Marlins' final shot attempt in the final seconds. Gibbons canned 17-of-28 (60.7 percent) field goals and added six assists and two blocks.
