Bullets & Blue Jays Headed to NCAA's

Centennial Conference champion Gettysburg and runner-up Johns Hopkins will both be shipping up to Boston for the opening rounds of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament this weekend. The Bullets earned the Centennial's automatic bid with a victory over Hopkins in CC title game, while the Blue Jays secured an at-large bid into the field of 64. 

The Bullets (21-6) are making their fifth straight and 10th overall NCAA postseason appearance and will take on SUNY New Paltz (23-4) in Friday's first round at 5 p.m. on the campus of Babson. The host Beavers (23-5) will play Maine Maritime (22-6) in Friday's other first round tilt at 7:30 p.m. The two winners will meet in Saturday's second round at 7:15 p.m.

Hopkins (21-6) will square off against Skidmore (22-5) in Friday's opening round at 4 p.m on the campus of Tufts. Host Tufts (21-6) will face Merchant Marine (24-2) in the second game on Friday at 6:30 p.m. The winners are slotted to play on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The Blue Jays are making their second consecutive and 13th overall NCAA Tournament appearance.
