It was announced earlier today that senior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) of the University of Redlands was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week for capturing medalist honors over the weekend at the second conference tournament of the season. 

Ordian reels in her second such honor of the current season with this week's award. 

After shooting a 78, she sat in 11th place through one round of the SCIAC Tournament No. 2.  With precision and determination, she carded a tournament-low 71 on Sunday to edge out the rest of the field by two strokes or more.

During the two rounds, she recorded five birdies and 21 pars for a score of 149.

Ordian and the rest of the Bulldog women's golf team look forward to competing in the SCIAC Championship Tournament, which begins Sunday, April 22, and continues through Tuesday, April 24, at Los Serranos Golf Course in Chino Hills.
