The 2019 Centennial Conference women's golf championship begins Saturday afternoon at Conestoga Country Club in Lancaster, Pa. This marks the second-straight year the 36-hole tournament will take place at the par-70, 5,863-yard layout. Gettysburg secured its eighth consecutive conference crown at last year's event.

Marymount, led by defending individual champion Alessandra Bertacche, enters the championship with the lowest scoring average among the eight-team field at 351.2 strokes. Defending champion Gettysburg boasts a 359.4 scoring average as the Bullets seek their ninth-straight and 10th overall team title. Dickinson (374.8) and Muhlenberg (378.77) also look to be in the mix near the top of the team standings.

Individually, a strong contingent of All-Centennial performers are back in the fold this weekend. Two-time all-conference performers include Gettysburg's Hannah Fireman and Skylar Frankiewicz and Muhlenberg's Aine Filler. Marymount's Bertacche and Ursinus' Emily McGarrigle also return as all-conference performers.

Gettysburg's duo of Frankiewicz (79.3) and Fireman (79.7) hold the lowest scoring averages this year, followed closely by defending-champion Bertacche of Marymount (81.2). Gettysburg's Katie McCarthy (84.3), Marymount's Brandie Hartzell (85.5) and Isabel Trojillo (85.8), Ursinus' McGarrigle (85.9), and Muhlenberg's Kat Hodges (86.3) also boast strong averages entering this weekend's championship.

This weekend's team champion will earn the Centennial Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships, set for May 14-17 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.
