EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The Marymount University women's golf team's stellar campaign drew to a close this afternoon at the third round of the NCAA Division III National Championships with a 22nd-place finish at the Forest Akers West Course.
Hunter Gillis led the way for the Saints throughout the round with an 80 (+8). The sophomore used a pair of birdies to take five strokes off of her score from the second round. Gillis ended the three-day affair with a total score of 242 (+26), which placed her in a tie for 33rd. Isabel Trojillo stayed consistent in the third round as she matched her day-two card with a score of 83 (+11). The junior ended the tournament with a total score of 254 (+38).
Janlynn Ngo fired a 91 (+19) over the final round and registered a birdie on the first hole. The junior finished with a final card of 271 (+55). Peyton Kraras shot a 103 (+31) in the third round to wrap up her debut season. The freshman totaled a score of 302 (+86) across 54 holes of action. Gina Carvelli posted her lowest round of the competition with a score of 100 (+28). She wrapped up the Championships with a total score of 319 (+103).
