Moriarty, Chenworth Named Players of Week

Paige Moriarty, Franklin & Marshall

Franklin & Marshall sophomore Paige Moriarty was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse announced on Monday. The award is the third for Moriarty this season and the fourth for a member of the lacrosse team.

Moriarty (Glen Ridge, N.J. / Glen Ridge HS) tallied 10 times and handed out seven assists in a 2-0 week for the Diplomats. She registered three goals and four assists in a 17-1 victory at Bryn Mawr and added seven goals with three helpers in the 20-5 triumph at McDaniel. Moriarty scored her 10 goals on just 14 shots.

Megan Chenworth, Haverford

Haverford College women's lacrosse goalie Megan Chenworth has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by conference officials. Chenworth anchored a pair of strong defensive efforts from the Fords who have now won three straight games.

Chenworth posted an 8.33 goals-against average with a 55.9 save percentage in a 2-0 week for the Fords. She turned away 11 shots in the 10-8 win at Muhlenberg and followed that with an eight-save effort in the 8-7 victory vs. No. 20 Dickinson.

Starting her week against Muhlenberg, a team receiving votes in the latest IWLCA Poll, Chenworth made 11 saves during the Fords' 10-8 victory. She also collected two groundballs during the win. Against Dickinson, the Fords' senior captain stopped eight shots in the weather-shortened 48 minute contest. She also picked up two groundballs in this contest.
