Vincent, Keeler Named Players of Week

Katherine Vincent, Washington College

Junior attacker Katherine Vincent (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse for the week of April 11-17.  This is the first time she has won the conference's weekly award.

Vincent scored seven goals and handed out three assists in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen. The junior scored five times on six shots with three helpers in the 13-8 win at Dickinson this past Saturday as she factored in eight of the team's 13 goals in the victory. Last Wednesday, she also tallied twice in a 14-2 win versus Bryn Mawr.

Shannon Keeler, Gettysburg

Junior Shannon Keeler (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) made the most out of her limited time in the cage last week and her performance was enough to land the Gettysburg College goalie Defensive Player of the Week honors from the Centennial Conference on Monday.

Keeler started two games and played 49 minutes in lop-sided victories for the sixth-ranked Bullets last week. She set the tone defensively with 12 saves and just two goals allowed for a save percentage of 85.7 percent and a goals against average of 2.43. Keeler stopped all three shots she saw on goal against McDaniel College and she posted nine saves in the first half against Ursinus College.

Keeler is in the midst of a banner year in goal, leading the CC in save percentage (55 percent) and ranking 11th nationally with a GAA of 6.03. She was named CC Defensive Player of the Week for the sixth time in her career.
