Paulucci Named Defender of Year

Paulucci Named Defender of Year

Johns Hopkins senior Jenn Paulucci added to her long list of postseason honors by being selected as first-team All-America and the Defender of the Year by D3soccer.com.

She had already been named first-team All-America for the second time by NSCAA and a two-time first-team Academic All-American.

Paulucci was a key component of a stellar Blue Jay defense in 2010 that notched 12 shutouts and allowed just 17 goals on the year. She helped lead Hopkins to its second straight NCAA Elite Eight performance, before the Blue Jays fell to Messiah, 2-1, in the quarterfinal round.

Paulucci concludes her career at JHU having started all 89 games that she played and helped the Blue Jays to a combined record of 70-14-7 (.807) in her four seasons, including a 19-4-1 mark in 2010.
