CHESTER, Pa. - Host Widener University defeated visiting Washington College, 111-85, in non-conference women's swimming Saturday in Chester, Pa.
The Pride (1-4) built an early lead in the meet and entered a number of swimmers as exhibition entrants during the meet's second half. Sophomore Elizabeth Miskiel (Gaithersburg, Md. / Quince Orchard) received the first-place points for the Shorewomen (2-4) in the 100 breast with the race's second-fastest time of 1:12.99. She was also second in the 100 free in 56.54.
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Ursinus closed out the 2011
portion of its schedule on Saturday with a 117-73 win over Cabrini
in a women's swimming meet at Elliott Pool. The Bears also won
every event, before swimming exhibition in the last two events.
The team of sophomore Kimberly Bullock (Berwyn, Pa. / Conestoga),
sophomore Eva Russell (Oakdale, N.Y. / Connetquot),
senior Kelly Reynolds (Newark, Del. / Sanford School)
and sophomore Kaitlin Kirker (Rockaway Point, N.Y. / Polytech
Prep County Day) won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:04.07 to
start the meet.
