Haverford's Weathers Named Track Athlete of the Week

Weathers posted the fastest time in the 800 meters for the Centennial Conference this season with a mark of 2:14.58. That new personal best moves her up to 37th in the NCAA in the event. She also ranks fifth in school history for the 800 meters. Weathers placed third overall in a field of 88 runners that included several Division I athlete.

Cavanaugh reset her own school record in winning the 100-meter hurdles, and she was also second in the 100-meter dash.  In the hurdles, she won by nearly a full second and was clocked with a hand-held time of 14.2 seconds. Her time converts to a FAT time of 14.44 - one-hundredth of a second better than her previous mark. Cavanaugh also took second in the 100-meter dash in an FAT-converted time of 12.74, which is her PR and ranks her seventh in school history.

Rutkowski led the way at Bucknell, crossing the line in the 10,000 meters as the top collegiate finisher of all Divisions, I, II and III. She posted the third-best time in program history, clocking a time of 36.00.90, the fourth-best time in Division III this season.

Germain was a triple-winner this weekend. She won the 100 meters (12.70) and 200 meters (26.47), posting the second-best time in the latter event in Centennial Conference this season. She joined the 4x100 relay for a time of 50.90 to help lead the Red Devils to the team title at the York Twilight Invitational.

Competing at the Raleigh Relays this past weekend, Loeb shattered the conference record in the 10K, finishing with a time of 34:42.63, good for seventh in a field of mostly Division I runners. She was the top non-DI runner and her time bested the previous conference, which stood for nearly 12 years, by 56 seconds. Though early in the season, her time is the best in Division III in the event.

Cavanaugh contributed to three winning events and set a record at the Little Three Meet to help the Bullets place second. She won the 100-meter dash with a personal-record of 12.82 seconds, and she also broke a 15-year-old meet record in capturing the 100-meter hurdles with a 14.54 clocking. In addition, she led off for the winning 4x100-meter relay team (51.97).
