At the Mule Falcon Classic, Bryn Mawr freshman Rebekah Gallop ran the 2.7 mile short course at Cedar Crest in 17:07 to finish fifth overall. She led the Owls to its second straight runner-up finish at the Mule Falcon Classic.
Gettysburg freshman Elizabeth Hilfrank finished sixth among 43 competitors at the Little Three Meet to help the Bullets split with 12th-ranked Dickinson and Franklin & Marshall. She crossed the finish line in 19:48 as Gettysburg defeated F&M 20-37 but lost to Dickinson.
Dickinson senior Sarah Rutkowski added another
win and the Little Three individual title to her resume last week.
She bested the field by almost a minute to lead the Red Devils to
the program’s 21st consecutive team championship.
Muhlenberg senior Melanie Tramontina won a race
for the first time in her college career by capturing the Cedar
Crest/Muhlenberg Invitational individual title in a field of 72
runners. Tramontina, whose previous best finish was fourth at the
same meet two years ago, finished in a time of 16:48 to lead
Muhlenberg to the team championship.

September 8, 2014 Hastings earned her first collegiate cross country victory by taking home first place in Saturday's Highlander Invitational. The junior ran the 6k course in 23:29, shattering the old course record en route to her victory. She also helped the Owls take home second place in the event, just behind fellow Centennial Conference school Ursinus. |

September 2, 2014 Frances Loeb, Sr, Johns Hopkins Wynnewood, PA / Lower Merion Loeb pulled away from the pack in the final minute to claim victory in the Salisbury Fall Classic with a time of 21:06.43. The No. 1 ranked Hopkins women's cross country team started their season with a weekend sweep at the Baltimore Metro Invitational and the Salisbury Fall Classic, where they finished with a perfect score of 15 points. The Blue Jays claimed the top nine spots overall at the Salisbury Fall Classic, and 11 of the first 15. |
