2013 Outlook

A new day is dawning at Swarthmore with a new head coach in Kosmalski. The final roundup is underway for Gates - one of the top players in school history with 1,309 points and 513 rebounds in just three seasons. He averaged 18.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game a year ago. Kober provides a scoring threat as well, averaging 11.0 points, while Federer returns to run the offense. Who steps up as scoring threats with that trio is the big question. Sharma, Ancona and Cheney provide height up front, while Martinez and Keedy add depth to the backcourt. The Garnet will not resemble the teams from years past in 2013, but may not be ready for a playoff berth.

Tarble Pavilion features a 1,200-seat gymnasium with a white maple hardwood floor for basketball, volleyball, and badminton. New bleachers and a sound system were added in 2006. Tarble also houses the sports medicine department, featuring a fully equipped athletic training room with three full-time trainers.
