Homewood FieldJohns Hopkins University is home to one of the finest stadiums in the nation - Homewood Field. Built in 1908, with an expansion to include Shelle Pavilion in 1998, the stadium now offers a seating capacity of 8,500. The stadium currently features a state-of-the-art scoreboard and message center and Shaw Sports Turf Momentum 51 playing surface, installed in 2014. The lighted facility, updated in 2007 by Musco, allows for night games throughout the year, which only adds to the atmosphere and provides a definite home field advantage for football, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, and field hockey.
