Swarthmore 2-9, Johns Hopkins 0-4
SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College baseball team took the Centennial Conference by surprise on Sunday afternoon, stunning No. 24 Johns Hopkins with 2-0 and 9-4 wins in a doubleheader sweep from Clothier Field.  The two wins mark the first time the Garnet (15-8, 6-3) has beaten Hopkins since the 2000 season, having lost 21 straight match-ups in the interim.  Putting the Garnet sweep into perspective, the Blue Jays had not been swept in a Conference doubleheader since losing a pair to Franklin & Marshall in April 2007 and had not been shut out by a Conference opponent since a loss to Gettysburg in April 2006. The victory over the No. 24 Blue Jays (13-10, 6-3) is also believed to the Garnet's first win over a ranked opponent in program history. In Game 1, Ignacio Rodriguez (3-1) had yet another stellar outing, throwing 6.1 shutout frames with six strikeouts.  He left the game in the top of the seventh with the bases loaded and one out for closer Ramsey Walker, who struck out the next two batters to seal the win.  The performance earned Walker his fifth save of the year, tying the program record for the most in a single season. Kyle Crawford picked up the win in the nightcap.

Franklin & Marshall 7, Ursinus 6
LANCASTER, Pa. – Kevin Shields hit a two-out single that scored Tyler Veterano for the game-winning run as Franklin & Marshall defeated Ursinus 7-6 in Centennial Conference (CC) baseball action Sunday afternoon.  The Diplomats have won eight out of their last 10 contests and improved to 16-11, 8-2 CC. Connor Devlin singled through the right side to start off the bottom of the ninth. Veterano pinch ran for Devlin and moved to second on a passed ball. Ursinus retired the next two batters setting up Shields for the walk-off single. Evan Lang picked up the victory and improved to 1-1 on the year. Nate Schnell was saddled with loss.

Haverford 3-10, McDaniel 1-0
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Mike Galetta rapped out six hits to lead Haverford to a doubleheader sweep of McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) baseball action on Sunday. The Fords (22-4, 7-2 CC) needed nine innings to win the scheduled seven-inning opener, 3-1. Bryan Henrick scattered six hits over eight innings to help his team to a 10-0 victory in game two. James Chiorello (East Windsor, N.J. / Lawrenceville Prep) led the Green Terror (10-11, 3-6 CC) with three hits.

Washington College 4-2, Gettysburg 1-0
GETTYSBURG, PA –Washington College got complete game wins from junior pitcher Shane Mattingly (Ellicott City, MD / Centennial) in game one and sophomore pitcher Kyle Aldrich (Warren, NJ / Watchung Hills Regional) in game two as the Shoremen earned two Centennial Conference baseball wins against host Gettysburg on Sunday afternoon at Kirchhoff Field.  Washington won 4-1 in game one and captured a 2-0 victory in game two.  The Shoremen are now 15-10 overall and 6-3 in the conference, while the Bullets are 8-16 and 2-7 respectively.  It is Washington's first sweep of Gettysburg since 2002, in a year where the Shoremen won all three games with the Bullets.
