Weekend Games to Watch

McDaniel at Gettysburg (Friday, 3:30)
Two of the three teams tied for fourth place in the Conference meet at Kirchhoff Field in a must-win game. The Bullets (18-10, 7-6 CC) look for a sweep of the Green Terror (19-9, 7-6) after a 7-5 win in Westminster on Tuesday. Gettysburg's Austin Davis leads the Centennial in hitting with a .596 average, while McDaniel's Pat Christopher is tied for eighth at .398.

Washington College at Johns Hopkins (Friday, 3:30)
The magic number for the Blue Jays (21-10-2, 11-2) to clinch the top seed is three and they can get one step closer to that goal with a season sweep of the Shoremen (23-7, 8-5). Hop defeated WAC, 3-1, for its 15th straight win over their Eastern Shore rivals. Washington has a pair of .400 hitters in Ryan Normoyle (.404) and Sean Connole (.402), while JHU's Mike Kanen leads the Centennial with 48 hits.

Gettysburg at Haverford (Saturday, 12:30)
One of the teams that the Bullets are chasing in their quest to make the Centennial playoffs for the first time since 2007 are the Fords (16-16, 8-5). Haverford's Jeremy Zoll is having a standout senior season with a .470 average. Gettysburg may turn to Drew Felsenthal on the mound. He has a 4-1 record and a 3.16 ERA. The Bullets are 1-10 at Haverford since 2000.

Dickinson at Washington College (Saturday, 12:30)
Another team looking to return to the Conference tournament after a lengthy absence is the Red Devils (20-11, 7-6) who are battling the Shoremen for one of the four spots in the field. Dickinson's Jordan Kaufman leads the team with a .433 average - good for third in the Centennial - while Andrew Sterling is hitting .389. Washington leads the CC with a .334 team average. Dickinson has just one win in C-Town since 2004.
