Giovinco went 4-for-5 with a double, a home run, three runs scored, and three RBIs in Gettysburg's 12-2 season-opening win at Marymount. He posted hits in each of his first three trips to the plate, including an RBI double in the fourth inning. The senior second baseman added a sacrifice bunt that led to an error and run in the eighth and he capped the night by slamming a two-run home run in the top of the ninth. He tied his personal highs for hits, runs scored, and RBIs in the game.

D'Ambrosia did not allow an earned run and struck out 13 over six innings to earn the win in the Mules' 9-1 defeat of Neumann. D'Ambrosia fanned the first five hitters he faced and allowed only four hits, all singles.
