Vassighi & Paige, Players of the Week, 10/22/19

Centennial Conference Field Hockey Players of the Week

Oct. 14-20

Offensive Player of the Week
Roxy Vassighi, Jr., A, Haverford
Moorestown, N.J. | Moorestown
Vassighi notched nine points in a 2-0 week for the Fords. The junior opened the week with a pair of goals and four assists in a 7-3 victory against Washington College. Her four assists were the most in the program's single-game history and marked just the 10th time in Centennial Conference history and first time since 2014 that a CC player registered four or more assists in a game. Vassighi followed up that performance with an assist against McDaniel on Saturday to cap a prolific week.

Defensive Player of the Week
Ellie Paige, Jr., D, Franklin & Marshall
Pennington, N.J. | Pennington
Paige tallied a defensive save and helped the fifth-ranked Diplomats to a pair of shutout wins over Gettysburg and Washington College. Leading 2-0 early in the fourth quarter vs. Gettysburg, Paige registered her first defensive save of the year to keep the Bullets off the scoreboard en route to an eventual 3-0 win. Paige and the F&M defense limited the Bullets and Shorewomen to just 10 combined shots throughout the pair of shutouts.
