INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Johns Hopkins and Ursinus will represent the Centennial Conference in the upcoming NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament. The Blue Jays secured the CC's automatic bid with a 5-0 victory over Dickinson in Saturday's championship, while the Bears received an at-large bid to the 26-team field.

Twenty teams will compete in ten first-round games on campus sites Wednesday, November 10. The ten first-round winners, along with the six teams that received a first-round bye, will compete at four campus sites during second/third-round play, Saturday and Sunday, November 13 and 14.

The winners of the four sites will advance to the semifinals and final, Saturday and Sunday, November 20 and 21, at Robin L. Sheppard Field at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Semifinals will be played at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eastern time, Saturday, November 20, with the championship game being played at 1 p.m. Eastern time, Sunday, November 21.

Hopkins (19-0) is making its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and ninth overall. The Blue Jays advanced to the NCAA Semifinals in each of their last two appearances. This is the second straight year that JHU will host the second and third rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Jays are 6-10 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, with four of those wins coming in the last two seasons.

Hopkins will take on the winner of Lynchburg (14-7) and Salisbury (11-7) on Saturday, November 13. The Blue Jays defeated the Hornets (2-1) and Sea Gulls (3-0) earlier this season – both at Homewood Field.

In the top half of the Blue Jays' bracket, Bowdoin (14-4) will host Eastern Connecticut State (14-5) and 18th-ranked Christopher Newport (11-5) will host Centre (14-3) on Wednesday, November 10. The winners of those two games will play in the second game on Saturday at Homewood Field.

Ursinus (13-5), which finished in second place in the CC regular season and lost in the CC semifinals to Dickinson, earned one of the seven available Pool C at-large bids into the field and will travel to face Scranton (17-1) in Wednesday's opening round. The Bears will be making their 13th overall appearance in the Division III Tournament and first since 2016.

The winner of Ursinus/Scranton will take on Washington & Lee in the second round of the tournament on Saturday. The second-round game will be played at Rowan University. The winner of Ursinus/Scranton and the host Rowan will be the winner of a First-Round matchup between SUNY Cortland and Ohio Wesleyan.
