Hopkins Repeats at NFHCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins field hockey head coach Jane Wells and assistant coaches James Albanese and Merritt Davis have been named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Region V Coaching Staff of the Year it was announced this afternoon.
 
This is the program's second straight Coaching Staff of the Year honor and third in the last four seasons.
 
Wells and her staff led Hopkins back to the national championship game in 2022 and finished with a 19-4 record. JHU won its fifth straight Centennial Conference regular season title and fourth straight tournament title this season. The Blue Jays went unbeaten in regular season conference play without allowing a goal and in fact allowed just 4.5 shots per game. Hopkins has now won 30 straight regular season conference games.
 
Since arriving at Homewood in 2017, Wells has led Hopkins to an 93-16 (.853) record, four Centennial Conference Tournament titles and four trips to the NCAA Final Four. She is also an impressive 48-2 (.960) in the Centennial Conference.
